They brief the crew, divide tasks, coordinate with the stage manager and production, and make sure the build schedule is met without you having to adjust course every ten minutes. They know our people, know who can do what and put your crew to work on what they do best.
Our chiefs have spent years as stagehands, riggers or forklift drivers themselves. They know what is realistic within a time slot, can run a toolbox meeting, and speak Dutch, French and English — handy on international tours and TV productions.
We deploy a crewchief from crews of roughly 8 people and up. Below that size your stage manager usually works directly with the crew. We discuss what fits upfront — no unnecessary layers.
